Economic Weekly

A barcode (bottom left corner)

A barcode was an image that codified data about a product, such as its identity and price. It could be read by a barcode reader.

Barcode reader technology on Earth was derived from 29th century technology plundered by Henry Starling from a crashed timeship. Magazines such as Economic Weekly had barcodes on their front covers. (VOY: "Future's End, Part II")
