Chicago-born (born 11 March 1962; age 62) actress played Kareen Brianon in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Schizoid Man". This was only her second television role.
Woods starred as Diane Szalinski on the Disney's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show. It was on that series that she met her current husband, John Lind, who served as an assistant director on the show. The series ran from 1997 through 2000. Woods currently stars on the WB series One Tree Hill, which has been in production since 2003.
After her appearance on TNG, Woods went on to guest-star on such TV shows as Mr. Belvedere (which had Star Trek: Voyager guest star Rosemary Forsyth as a regular cast member), The Golden Girls, Empty Nest (in an episode with fellow TNG guest star Biff Yeager), Dream On (with Paul Dooley and Michael McKean), Wings (starring Steven Weber), Picket Fences (with Roy Brocksmith, Leigh Taylor-Young, and Ray Walston), Seinfeld (starring Jason Alexander), Murder, She Wrote (in an episode with Robin Curtis and William Windom), and Touched by an Angel. She also appeared in a 1999 episode of Ally McBeal with fellow TNG guest star Albert Hall and Star Trek: Voyager star Robert Picardo.
Woods made her feature film debut in the 1990 horror movie The Terror Within II, co-starring Star Trek: Deep Space Nine guest actor Brad Blaisdell. That same year, she co-starred with Jim Metzler and Dennis Christopher in the science fiction film Circuitry Man. She later co-starred with Metzler in 1991's Delusion, a thriller also starring Robert Costanzo. Her other film credits include Repossessed (1990), The Waterdance (1992, with Susan Gibney and Elizabeth Dennehy), Flesh and Bone (1993), and Striptease (1996, with Keone Young).
