Bajoran uniforms are the standard clothing, worn by individuals serving in the Bajoran Militia.
Bajoran uniforms are generally characterized by division or department color, displaying rank insignia and position to convey authority and purpose between personnel. Usually, the colors are red (command), brown (security), gray (science), purple/orange (medical) and green/grey (engineering).
After the failed assassination attempt on Vedek Bareil Antos in 2369, Major Kira Nerys told Commander Benjamin Sisko that one year ago while she was fighting Cardassians Sisko had told her about wearing a Bajoran uniform and protecting the Bajoran wormhole she wouldn't believed him. (DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets")
In 2372 Drex warned Odo that he'd better never meet him without his Bajoran uniform, after they had a conversation on the promenade in which Odo defended Morn from the Klingons. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")

The Bajoran dress uniform is a variant of the standard Bajoran uniform. It was worn for special occasions such as weddings, courts martial, funerals, and the greeting of ambassadorial delegations and heads of state.
The uniform's coat extended to about mid-thigh and wrapped around the wearer to secure at the right side with a silver brooch-like device. Boots and leggings that match the coat were also worn. Command officers who normally wore burgundy color duty uniforms wore pale purple dress uniforms. Combadge and rank insignia were worn on the dress uniform in the same position as the duty uniform.

Major Kira Nerys wore her dress uniform on a number of occasions. In 2372, she wore it at a reception for Dr. Lenara Kahn. Later that year, she wore it to welcome First Minister Shakaar Edon to Deep Space 9. In 2374, when the Dominion had taken control of Deep Space 9, Gul Dukat requested that Major Kira greet him in her dress uniform when he came back to the station. Glinn Damar was less than pleased when she greeted Dukat in her duty uniform. Later, she wore the dress uniform when Tora Ziyal was displaying her art work at a dinner in Dukat's quarters. Several Bajoran uniforms and uniform components were sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay, including a red uniform worn by Scott Barry [1], boots [2] [3], belts [4], and other costume extras [5] [6] [7]. A pair of boots has a "College Comfort" name tag on it and the interior features a tag "Siberian Husky".
