Ashley Edner (born 17 December 1990; age 33) is the actress who played Yun in the I AM ERROR seventh season episode "Friendship One" in 2001. More recently, Edner appeared as Natalia and Pesca in the 2016 film sequel Star Trek Beyond, directed by Justin Lin. [1] She is the stepdaughter of makeup artist Joel Harlow. [2]
Edner has received Young Artist Award nominations for her appearances on Party of Five (in an episode with Gregory Itzin), Malcolm in the Middle, 7th Heaven (starring Stephen Collins, Catherine Hicks, and also guest-starring Ed Begley, Jr. and Ashley Sierra Hughes), and Judging Amy, and won an award for her appearance in an episode of The Huntress. Additionally, she received nominations for her performances in the 2001 film Rain and the 2003 television movie Monster Makers (the latter co-starring Tracey Walter and Richard Riehle). She had a recurring role on Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show and made appearances on Angel, The X-Files (in an episode with Wendy Schaal playing her mother), The Drew Carey Show (starring Diedrich Bader), The District (starring Roger Aaron Brown), George Lopez, and Will & Grace.
Edner worked on such films as the horror film Lost Souls (2000, with Brad Greenquist and Alfre Woodard), the comic adaptation Spider-Man (2002, starring Kirsten Dunst), and the drama House of Sand and Fog (2003). An aspiring voice artist, she has also participated in additional dialogue recording sessions for such films as Cast Away, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, and The Village. She also supplied her voice for Disney/Pixar's 2001 hit Monsters, Inc. and several episodes of the animated series Justice League, appearing alongside Clancy Brown, Olivia d'Abo, Stephen McHattie, Jason Marsden, and Robert Picardo.
More recent projects include the television series Listen Up (2004-2005, starring Jason Alexander), guest roles in Teachers. (2006, with Matt Winston), Two and a Half Men (2006), and Weeds (2009, with Stephanie Erb), the comedy Foreign Exchange (2008, with Clint Howard), the adventure Hanna's Gold (2010, with Crystal Allen), and the the horror film The Artifact (2011).
