He has written comics across many genres, including war, horror, romances, superheroes, westerns, crime, and science fiction.
He is best known for his work on the DC Comics series "Deadman" and "Doom Patrol". He also worked for Marvel Comics on the "X-Men" series in the 1960s. Over the years, he has also received a number of awards.
In the late 1970s, he worked on several issues of Western Publishing's Star Trek comics.
