Arneb (or Alpha Leporis) is a red giant star (spectral class F0IB) , approximately 1200 lightyears from Sol.
Arneb was visible from Ten Forward, while the Enterprise-D was near 'aucdet IX and was pointed out to Guinan by Wesley Crusher. (TNG; "The Child")
