Arcadians were a humanoid species, whose homeworld was a member of the United Federation of Planets by the late 23rd century. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home; TNG: "Conspiracy")

Arcadians were distinguished from most humanoids by their broad, enlarged heads with two parallel lines of hair running front to back on the top outer edges of the cranium. In contrast, the bodies of Arcadians were slim and delicate. Their noses protruded very little from the face and their ears were large and pointed. They had wide-set eyes that were particularly brightly colored, and did not have eyebrows. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

In 2381 there were Arcadians on Starbase 25. (LD: "An Embarrassment Of Dooplers")

In 3190, an Arcadian was depicted on a Leonian poker card. (DIS: "All In")

According to that source, they were described as a pacifistic, aquatic race with skin color ranging from light blue to pale yellow. They feed on plankton, but can derive some of their nourishment from photosynthesis. Arcadians live for 40-60 years and raise their young in marsupial-like pouches during the first 3-6 months of life. Arcadians are credited as the discoverers of protomatter.

Additionally, their homeworld, Arcadia, was the fifth planet in the Vellun Gamma system.

A pair of Arcadian masks were sold on It's A Wrap! sale and auction for US$719.99. [1]

Arcadian luggage concept art was designed for use in LD: "Envoys", though did not end up in the episode. [2]

It is unclear if the species' intended home system is Arcadian system, which is featured in Star Trek: The Animated Series episode "Mudd's Passion". The novelization of "Once Upon a Planet", which immediately precedes "Mudd's Passion" in Star Trek Log 3, refers to the inhabitants of the Arcadian system (e.g. those on the planet Motherlode) as Arcadians.
