Background information Edit
The Aptera Typ-1 is a prototype two-seat, three-wheeled electric automobile designed and built by the Aptera company. Although not yet in production, the futuristic vehicle was used on the set of 2009's Star Trek.
The vehicle is designed to be extremely fuel efficient, achieving 230 miles per gallon and costing approximately a penny per mile. It operates on an internal battery which can be easily charged in one's home. It has a low-drag, aerodynamic body shape makes which increases its speed and makes it look almost like a spacecraft, but it does not sacrifice comfort, drivability, or safety. The vehicle is built from fourteen structural parts, which enhances its passengers' safety.
The Aptera Typ-1 is registered as a motorcycle due to its weight and wheel layout, but it will not require a motorcycle license to drive since it has three wheels. It has yet to be officially crash-tested, but it has fared well in computer crash-test simulations.
