Anyon emitter

Data uses an anyon emitter

An anyon emitter was a handheld device used for the controlled generation of anyon particles.

In 2368, Lieutenant Commander Data used an anyon emitter to eliminate anomalous chroniton fields which were appearing at seemingly random locations around the USS Enterprise. It was soon discovered, however, that Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge and Ensign Ro Laren were producing the chroniton fields every time they passed through a solid object, having been "phased" due to exposure to chronitons from an interphase generator. (TNG: "The Next Phase")
