In 2367, the star appeared on a chart in Captain Benjamin Maxwell's ready room on the USS Phoenix. (TNG: "The Wounded")
In an alternate 2366, Antares was marked on a tactical situation monitor showing the fleet deployments in the Federation-Klingon War. (TNG: "Yesterday's Enterprise" display graphic)
In the tactical situation monitor, Antares was listed twice on the display.
According to Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I", "United Federation of Planets II"), Antares (or Alpha Scorpii) was located in non-aligned space, in the Beta Quadrant. This was a binary star system. Antares A was a M-class star with a magnitude of -3, which was a thousand times brighter than Sol. Antares B was a B-class star. In 2378, Antares IV was a Federation member.
