Angel Island was an island in the San Francisco Metropolitan Area, California.

In 1986, its location was labeled on a MUNI system map. As the HMS Bounty was leaving San Francisco, this island was visible on the ship's viewscreen. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

In alternate February 2259, this island, unlabeled, was visible on a map of the bay. This map was part of a collection of graphics and video media that were seen on a powerwall in Admiral Christopher Pike's office at Starfleet Headquarters. Within days, the USS Vengeance flew over Angel Island during its approach of San Francisco. In this timeline, much of the east side of the island was taken up by a large port facility, while the rest of the island remained forested. (Star Trek Into Darkness)

A point in Richardson Bay, a bay between Sausalito and Tiburon, to a point on the southern coast of the island was connected by an arching line.
Angel Island made an appearance in the director's edition of Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
This island was within the county lines of Marin County.

In 2399, this island appeared on a satellite image of the bay as Dahj Asha was searching for the location of Jean-Luc Picard. (PIC: "Remembrance")
