Andrews was a Human security officer in Starfleet, and served on the USS Voyager. He held the rank of lieutenant.
He was working on the bridge when Paris was called by the captain. (VOY: "Caretaker")
He descended to the planetoid with Harry Kim, Tuvok and Captain Kathryn Janeway (VOY: "Phage")
Andrews was sometimes posted to the bridge of Voyager, and even stood in for Tuvok on several occasions. (VOY: "Ex Post Facto", "Faces")
Along with Tuvok and Captain Janeway, Andrews accompanied Jetrel to the transporter room. (VOY: "Jetrel")
