Andre Taft is a digital artist whose work includes 2009's Star Trek as a previsualization artist with Persistence of Vision Digital Entertainment (POV). Taft previously collaborated with POV on the 20th Century Fox films Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver (2007) and The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008). In addition to previsualization, Taft is also skilled in digital tracking, compositing, animation, rotoscoping, lighting, and designing. He is also a teacher and an aspiring director.
As a previs artist, Taft worked with the effects company Proof on the films Fantastic Four and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. His digital compositing credits include Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie, Garfield: The Movie, the 2006 horror film Minotaur (starring Tom Hardy and Tony Todd), the 2005 TV movie The Poseidon Adventure (starring Peter Weller), and the sixth season of the hit television series 24 (featuring James Cromwell, Roger Cross, Megan Gallagher, Tzi Ma, Raphael Sbarge, and Alexander Siddig).
Taft's other projects include match moving work for Rhythm & Hues on Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed and Serenity and digital tracking work on Ronald D. Moore's Battlestar Galactica and Brannon Braga's Threshold (starring Brent Spiner). His resume also includes the video game NBA Live 06 and commercials for General Electric.
