Amleth Prime was the inhabited prime planet in the Amleth system. The system was located in an emission nebula. Rakal and Loval were located in the same region of space as this planet.
This nebula rendered cloaking devices ineffective, making the station on this Cardassian planet more difficult to attack in 2372. (DS9: "Return to Grace")

According to StarTrek.com, Amleth Prime was the sole M-class planet in its system.
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), Amleth Prime was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
