Amanda McBroom (born 9 August 1946; age 77) is a television actress from California who played Captain Phillipa Louvois in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Measure Of A Man".

McBroom previously had a recurring role as police officer Sandi Welles on the hit crime drama Hawaii Five-O. In her first episode, 1976's "Loose Ends Get Hit", one of her co-stars was fellow TNG guest actor Henry Darrow. She and Darrow would later appear together in an episode of Cover Up in 1984. McBroom also co-starred with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actress Louise Fletcher on the short-lived series The Boys of Twilight.

A 1969 graduate of the University of Texas, McBroom's earliest known TV appearance was a September 1973 episode of Medical Center with William Windom and series regular Barbara Baldavin. The following month, she and Lenore Kasdorf appeared in the second episode of the short-lived adventure series The Magician. Her later TV credits include: a 1974 episode of Police Story with Barry Atwater, Kim Darby, and Phillip Pine; a 1975 episode of Gunsmoke with David Soul, who she would co-star with in an episode of Starsky & Hutch three years later; a 1976 episode of Executive Suite with Sharon Acker, Richard Cox, Leigh J. McCloskey, Byron Morrow, Madlyn Rhue, Percy Rodriguez, Mitch Ryan, and Madge Sinclair; an episode of Charlie's Angels in 1977; a 1979 episode of Taxi with series regular Christopher Lloyd; an episode of Hart to Hart in 1980; a 1981 episode of M*A*S*H with David Ogden Stiers; an episode of Remington Steele in 1983; and a 1985 episode of Magnum, P.I. with Susan Oliver.

Besides acting, McBroom is also a songwriter. She wrote the title song for the 1979 film The Rose, for which she won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture. She has also written songs for the direct-to-video Land Before Time sequels.
