Alvacorn Major was a star system where the Federation starships USS Enterprise-D and USS Repulse rendezvoused in 2365. During this rendezvous, the Repulse transferred Doctor Katherine Pulaski to the Enterprise-D. (TNG: "The Child")

The name of this system was from the script, which also specified it to be a binary system.
