Alpha Laputa IV was the inhabited fourth planet in its star system, located in the region between sectors 21166 to 23079. The planet was the homeworld of the Alpha Laputa IV natives.

In 2367, the USS Zhukov was on a cultural observation mission to this planet. The planet was mentioned in the chart "Starfleet Operations-Sectors 21166-23079" that was displayed on the bridge of the USS Enterprise-D.
