Allan A. Apone (born 3 October 1953; age 70) is a special effects makeup artist and technician who worked on a number of Star Trek productions while employed by Makeup & Effects Laboratories.

In 1997 he was part of the makeup department which earned an Emmy Award nomination in the category Outstanding Makeup for a Series for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fifth season episode "Apocalypse Rising". Apone shared this nomination with Michael Westmore, Camille Calvet, Karen Iverson, Ellis Burman, R. Stephen Weber, David Quashnick, Dean Jones, Mark Bussan, Brad Look, Belinda Bryant, James MacKinnon, Perri Sorel, Mary Kay Morse, John Maldonado, Lisa Collins, and Karen Westerfield.

Other Star Trek work included Star Trek V: The Final Frontier as a special makeup designer working on the Klingon Vixis, and a number of episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation working on Borg costumes. He and John Fifer designed the costume for Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager and further created her costume worn in "Scorpion". [1] He also worked on DS9 and Star Trek: Insurrection during this time. After these, he was credited on "Broken Bow" as a special makeup effects artist and worked with Paul Elliot as Andorian antennae operator on the episode "Kir'Shara".

He was nominated for the makeup at the CableACE awards in 1995 for And The Band Played On which aired on television in 1993. He also garnered an Emmy nomination in the category Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for the series. In 2000, he was nominated for the Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Award for Three Kings.
