Alexander Denk (born 23 February 1968; age 48) is an actor, stuntman, and fitness expert who portrayed a Romulan guard in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Improbable Cause". As a background performer Denk received no credit for his appearance. 
Denk attended the Vienna-Austria College and the Hotel School for Professional Chefs. He has a master in nutrition-cooking and a background in bodybuilding, weight management, and physical therapy. Denk won several awards and titles in these disciplines between 1997 and 2003, such as "Mr. Vienna-Austria" in 1988, "Mr. Natural Universe" in 1997 and 2002, and "Mr. World Musclemania" in 2002.   As a certified chef and nutrition expert, Denk is the spokesman for the company "4 Today", a nutritional supplement company.
Denk was the bodyguard for late actress and model Anna Nicole Smith and was also up for the role of her daughters father in the trial after Smith's death.   Denk previously worked for Smith on her reality show The Anna Nicole Show (2002). He also auditioned for the reality show America's Next Fitness Star. 
As a member of SAG and AFTRA, Denk has appeared in several other television shows, including ER (1994, with Christine Harnos, Herta Ware, Scott Jaeck, and Liz Vassey), Cybill, Ellen, and Mad TV. He had featured parts in Joel Schumacher's superhero movie Batman Forever (1995, with Rene Auberjonois, Eileen Seeley, Noby Arden, Kevin Grevioux, Sidney Liufau, Jim Palmer, Peewee Piemonte, and Mike Smith), Ron Howard's drama Apollo 13 (1995), the action film Eraser (1996, with Vanessa Williams, Mark Rolston, James Cromwell, Michael Papajohn, Patrick Kilpatrick, and Tom Lupo), the comedy George of the Jungle (1997, with Spencer Garrett and Tim Glenn), Schumacher's Batman sequel Batman & Robin (1997, with John Glover, Alex Daniels, Steve Blalock, Mark Chadwick, Jean-Luc Martin, Jim Palmer, Paul Sklar, and Spice Williams-Crosby), Paul W.S. Anderson's science fiction film Soldier (1998, with James Black, Mark DeAlessandro, Elizabeth Dennehy, Max Daniels, Paul Sklar, and Don Pulford), the horror thriller End of Days (1999), Fault Lines (2001), the drama Glam (2001, with Caroline Lagerfelt, Robert DoQui, and Talon Tears), and the action thriller Collateral Damage (2002).
