Alex Datcher (born 6 June 1962 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actress who played Ensign Taitt in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Descent, Part II".

Datcher made her first television appearance in an episode of Beauty and the Beast alongside Ron Perlman, Stephen McHattie, and Edward Laurence Albert. She made her film debut two years later in action drama Rage and Honor, co-starring Brian Thompson and Tim DeZarn. Later in 1992, she had the female lead in the thriller Passenger 57, with Robert Hooks (whose son directed the film).

Following her appearance on TNG, she had guest spots on such television shows as Sliders (starring John Rhys-Davies), The Pretender (with Harve Presnell), Brimstone (with Louise Fletcher and Albert Hall), The Steve Harvey Show (with James Ingersoll), and Any Day Now (with Joan Pringle). Additionally, she and Scott Grimes were regulars on the UPN series Goode Behavior, which ran during the 1996-97 season, and had a recurring role on the short-lived 18 Wheels of Justice, during which she worked with the likes of Carlos Lacamara and Gavan O'Herlihy. She also appeared in the films Jury Duty (1995, with Charles Napier, Richard Riehle, Mark L. Taylor, and Sean Whalen) and Scorcher (2002, with Frank Novak, John Rhys-Davies and Mark Rolston), among others.
