Al C. Francis (9 August 1918 – 9 June 1998; age 79) was director of photography (DP) for Star Trek: The Original Series after Jerry Finnerman left the series. The first episode he shot as DP was the third season episode "The Tholian Web". Before that, he was Finnerman's camera operator on the series. Outside Star Trek, Francis worked as a cinematographer on many television series, including The Waltons and T.J. Hooker (starring William Shatner, James Darren and Richard Herd).
