Adele Simmons was a Starfleet officer in the 24th century.

As a vice admiral, she was listed as a Tactical Command officer on the dedication plaque of the USS Brattain. (TNG: "Night Terrors", dedication plaque)

Simmons was named after first and second assistant director Adele Simmons.
There was, in addition, a Doctor Adele Simmons, a Captain Adele Simmons, and an Ensign Adele Simmons.
Retroactive continuity: In 2328, Simmons boarded a transport ship at Starbase Allen, bound for Lauritson's Planet. This information was part of a passenger manifest recorded in the commercial transport database and reviewed by Lieutenant Commander Data in 2370. (TNG: "Inheritance")
