Abdul Salaam El Razzac (8 May 194425 December 2018; age 74) appeared as a bass player at the Bourbon Street Barn simulation in the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "11001001". Footage of this was reused in the second season episode "Shades of Gray".

Born as Allen Johnson II in Cleveland, Ohio, he graduated from East Technical High Cleveland and attended the University of Minnesota. El Razzac was working as a teacher at Saint Paul Learning Center and Saint Paul Central High School prior before his acting career. His appearance in Star Trek was one of his first on-screen works. Also in 1988 he appeared in episodes of Frank's Place and Empty Nest (with Tommy Hinkley).

Among his film work are Pretty Woman (1990), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991, with Earl Boen, Nikki Cox, Jenette Goldstein, Castulo Guerra, and Terrence Evans), the short comedy 1775 (1992, with Judith Jones), Malcolm X (1992), Female Perversions (1996, with Clancy Brown, J. Patrick McCormack, and Azalea Davila), and 8 Mile (2002).

El Razzac passed away on December 25, 2018 at the age of 74 due to a heart attack-related chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. [1]
